“Neighbor Is a Verb” is a new artwork by St. Anthony Park artist and neighbor Libby Baur that captures the spirit of the community. Baur combines local businesses and landmarks into a colorful collage inspired by neighborhood life.
“This collection was shaped by my neighbors and their care for the place they’ve created,” Baur said. “Their volunteerism, generosity, and joy, especially in difficult seasons, are what community looks like in practice.”
The original collage will be auctioned to benefit the St. Anthony Park Arts Festival. It is currently on display at boreál Gifts & Goods on Como Avenue.
Look for Baur at the Arts Festival, where she will sell miniature prints and tote bags featuring the illustrations from her collage.
“I encourage you to support our vibrant small business community,” Baur said, “and to learn more about the many wonderful St. Anthony Park organizations, including the St. Anthony Park Community Foundation, Creative Enterprise Zone, St. Anthony Park Branch Library Association, Langford Park Recreation Association, SAPSA, Fourth in the Park, Taproot and more. Together, their shared generosity is what helps this community thrive.”
Bidding for the artwork is open now through 5 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at sapfest.org/raffle.
