The library will be closed Friday, May 29, for staff training. In observance of Juneteenth, the library will close at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, and remain closed Thursday, June 19.

2026 Book Sale Fundraiser

St. Anthony Park Arts Festival
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Beer & Mead Garden noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 6. Annual arts celebration on the library lawn and along Como and Carter avenues, featuring artists, musicians, hands-on activities, art-making stations, community organizations and food vendors.

Arts Festival story time
10 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6. Join Alisa Mee from the St. Anthony Park Library for a special, all-ages, outdoor storytelling event on the Arts Festival Library Lawn Stage. In the event of rain, the storytelling event will be cancelled.
Planting Words: Homespun Alchemy
6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 18. Local poet Julie Martin will read from her debut collection “Homespun Alchemy,” which is rooted in the rhythms of gardens and seasonal change and reflects on home, resilience and renewal. Refreshments follow. Optional: Bring a partially used seed packet to share or swap.

Storytime in the Park
10:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, June 9, 16, 23 and 30. Songs, rhymes and puppets outside at College Park, 2223 Carter Ave. Designed for children ages birth to five, their caregivers and siblings. In the case of inclement weather, storytime will be held in the St. Anthony Park Library auditorium. The decision to move to the library will be made by 9:30 a.m. on storytime days and posted to sppl.org.
Handiwork @ Your Library
10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, June 11. Bring your own supplies and knit, crochet, embroider and socialize. All ages welcome. Co-hosted by SPPL and the St. Anthony Park Area Seniors.
Teen Crochet Corner
4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Thursdays, June 4 and 11. Hands on lessons to make anything crochet related. No prior knowledge needed. Supplies provided.
Financial Literacy
2 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17. Sunrise Banks presents a financial educational topic.
Mystery Loves Company Book Club
6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17. Read any book in the monthly theme and discuss it with the group. Readers seeking inspiration are welcome, too.
Learn to Play DND
1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 20. Wyldwolf Games teaches third to eighth graders how to play Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition as a beginner-friendly adventure.
SAP Library Book Club
6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 22. Join us in the lower-level auditorium for conversation and refreshments. Stop in or call the library (651-642-0411) for the June book selection.
Crafting Teens
4 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23. Drop-in session with a monthly craft for ages 12–18.
