Jayne Marie Florek, 68, Lauderdale, died Nov. 21 after a seven-year battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy. She remained the gracious, kind and selfless person that everyone knew throughout those difficult years.
Jayne was first and foremost a loving, devoted wife and mother to her husband, Marvin, and their two children, Will and Ellen. Her family was her entire world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Jayne was looking forward to the birth of her first grandchild.
Jayne was incredibly talented at quilting, needlework, cooking and gardening. She enjoyed many trips to the family cabin in northern Minnesota.
Jayne was very intelligent and, despite her quiet demeanor, had an unwavering sense of humor and touched lives in an outsized way. She was a role model as a mother, wife, sister and friend to so many, and the guiding light for her entire family.
Jayne was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Delores Gosewisch, brother Ken Gosewisch, and sister Pat Gosewisch. She is survived by her husband, Marvin Florek, son Will (Haley), daughter Ellen Florek, as well as sisters Roxanne Gosewisch, Sandy Skaja (Tom) and Nancy Teply (Scott).
