I have lived in St Paul for over 40 years and I love my city.
St Paul’s strength comes from our ability to be there for each other, knitting people together from different places and of different races into a community. I saw this in all the St Paul neighborhoods I worked in as a public health nurse. I see it in my local church community and on my block where I live.
You can see this in the historic ordinances we’ve passed together over the last few years, like a $15 minimum wage, rent stabilization and earned sick time.
A few loud voices want to protect a status quo where corporate landlords and employers act like they’re above the law and keep profiting off our neighbors.
By giving the ordinances we pass together real teeth, we can create faster resolution to the health, safety and wellbeing concerns of every worker, renter and family in our city, and make sure businesses and property owners are accountable to our communities.
That’s why I’m encouraging every St Paul voter on Nov. 4th to say YES to the referendum on the ballot voting for Administrative Citations.
Let’s vote Yes for a fairer St. Paul so we can enforce city ordinances equitably and make St Paul a city that works for all of us, not just the wealthy few.
