We support Kaohly Her for St. Paul mayor.
She has a clear grasp of what St. Paul needs to improve services, expand the city’s small-business economy and address the housing shortage.
Her will focus on the basics, such as maintaining smooth streets, keeping parks clean, ensuring outstanding public safety and promoting exceptional housing development.
She will also foster a “customer service” approach for licenses and permits by streamlining the regulatory process and reducing the time to obtain a license or permit, while eliminating outdated and burdensome regulations that make it difficult to open a business in St. Paul.
As an experienced budget analyst, public school administrator, St. Paul policy leader, and four-term state legislator for House District 64B (Macalester Groveland, Merriam Park and Cathedral Hill), Kaohly Her has brought together all levels of government to develop collaborative solutions to address the root causes of our critical problems.
Among those critical problems are: homelessness, addiction, business closures and an aging and deteriorating infrastructure.
It’s time for new leadership in the Mayor’s Office, and Kaohly Her has the experience, passion and vision to engage the City Council, the business community and the broad range of stakeholders to move St. Paul forward through this difficult and tumultuous time.
We urge you to select Kaohly Her as your first choice for mayor on Nov. 4.
