Here is the Bugle’s latest Midpoint, a mid-month web report on some local news and information, since the publication of our May 2025 issue:
Como Park tops for Memorial Day fun
From backyard football to marathon cornhole tournaments, Memorial Day is peak season for park-based sports.
But when it comes to fields, facilities, and atmosphere, not all parks play at the same level.
To find out which green spaces truly deliver, Gambling ‘N Go surveyed 3,056 respondents, asking locals to rate their favorite parks on real-life factors like field quality, sports options, amenities, crowd size, and that all-important “vibe” score.
The result? A crowd-sourced ranking of the top Memorial Day Parks in America, perfect for families looking to stretch their legs and show off their spirit.
In Minnesota, Como Parkwas ranked best in the state for family games and sports. Gambling ‘N Go noted, “Como Park offers an excellent combination of sports and family-friendly fun for Memorial Day. The park includes fields for soccer and baseball, tennis courts, and plenty of open spaces for other games.
“After playing, families can visit the Como Zoo and Conservatory, making it a great option for a full day of outdoor activities and relaxation.”
