Marla Bollig, 76, St. Anthony Park, died April 16.

Born and raised in Brainerd, she won the Miss Brainerd competition in 1968 and also worked at the Brainerd Dispatch.

She moved to Minneapolis with her husband Steven Pelletier. She worked at the University of Minnesota in personnel/human resources for 25 years. Later she ran her own cleaning business. She moved to St. Anthony Park in 1986.

Marla is survived by her two children, Juli and Damian Pelletier, and by her partner, Ed Elliott.

A celebration of Marla’s life is planned for July 23 at Silverwood Park in St. Anthony Village.
