Rita Marie (née Sachwitz) Hermes, 91, died Nov. 8. Rita was known for her devout Catholic faith and love of family.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Bill; her oldest son, Steven; siblings, Marlene Seiler, Paul Sachwitz and Jane Squillace. She is survived by son, Mark (Elizabeth) Hermes; daughters, Susan (Paul) Quam, Mary (Bill) Parnell, Anne (Dan) Burt, and Julie (Chris) Steiner; brother, Louis Sachwitz; sisters-in-law, Carol Sachwitz and Lucille Sachwitz; 23 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial has been celebrated at Church of the Holy Childhood, with interment at Calvary Cemetery.
