Dean R. Shafer, 64, of Saint Paul died Oct. 19, 2025.

Preceded in death by mother Sheila Fitch, and her husband John, Dean is survived by wife Camille; son Ben (Gaby); daughter Violet; father Paul (Sherry); brothers Dan (Ann), Dave (LeeAnn), and Cary Truman (Lisa); and sisters Diane (Tom), and Rachel Griebling (Bill).

Funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Childhood Catholic Church. Memorials preferred to the National Gaucher Foundation at gaucherdisease.org.
